A requirement for
school visits is that a teacher, usually the group leader, |
|
has attended a
Mayfield Familiarisation Course, which is held each term. |
|
The course covers
visit organization, knowledge of the local area |
|
and health and safety
issues. |
| Each
course comprises of two full days and two evening sessions. |
|

The familiarisation
courses are conducted by Centre Manager Jane Walker.
Evaluations of the
courses by teachers are invariably 'excellent'.
In response to
requests from previous course members, a CD containing information
and high-resolution images will be given to teachers on all future
courses.
